Arsenal reportedly has been pursuing an ambitious, potential mobility move since May, with Real Madrid forwards of 900 million.
According to Ben Jacobs, the gunners have a real interest in Brazil International. Brazil International is Brazil International, which finished the 2024/25 season with 16 goals and seven assists in all club and country competitions.
Rodrigo needed a more consistent performer on the left than Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Torosad, so it appears that for now it could be an ideal signature for Arsenal.
However, this transaction will not be cheaper. Jacobs reports that Real Madrid wants 90 million euros to let go of Rodrigo…
Jacobs posted on X: “Arsenal had a real interest in Rodrigo and held an exploratory consultation on the part of players dating back to May.
Can Rodrigo solve Arsenal’s left-hand problem?
Rodrigo was undoubtedly an underrated member of this Real Madrid team, and he couldn’t always start many matches due to so much competition on this star-studded team at the Bernabéu.
So, the 24-year-old can do well to join someone like Arsenal.
However, looking at his statistics compared to Martinelli and Trossard, he doesn’t necessarily create that clear picture…
Martinelli may be frustrating to watch from time to time, but he clearly has his own qualities, but Torosad is also at least a very decent team player.
Still, since watching Arsenal last season, I know that they’re not very good on offense and have missed a big opportunity.
Martinelli and Trossard were found guilty of wasting some of Arsenal’s best opportunities in the Champions League semi-final defeat to Paris Saint-Germain.
Rodrigo may not be perfect, but he looks like someone who can improve with more playtime, so it would be interesting to see if Arsenal feels he’s worth such a big buck.
