Leeds United attacker Sam Greenwood has been linked to a move away from the club this summer, allowing Leicester City to see the move for him.
According to a report from the Daily Mail, the fox could also face competition with Sunderland. The two English clubs want to sign the English Under 21 International. Greenwood was lending it out at Preston last season, and he did very well for them.
Sam Greenwood needs to leave
He hopes to play regular football next season as well. Leeds is unable to offer him the opportunity, and it makes sense that England Under 21 International will move on. The 23-year-old was involved in 10 goals last season.
Preston had a difficult season overall, but his numbers were very impressive given the team’s performance. He was able to improve while playing for a better team. It will be interesting to see if Leicester and Sunderland move forward with offers to sign him.
Leeds could cash into Greenwood
It seems unlikely that Leeds will get in his way if there is a favorable proposal at the table.
Leeds is looking to improve its team this summer, and they need to add more goals to their site. Selling players like Greenwood helps them bring quality signatures.
On the other hand, players can operate as strikers and as a wide range of players. He can also slot into 10 roles. His versatility is an extra bonus for the clubs who were able to sign him.
It would be interesting to see where he ends. He needs to try to join the club. Clubs will be able to compete at a high level and play regularly.
