According to a recent report, the Queens Park Rangers are currently eager to sign the young EFL striker who scored 12 league goals last season and scored 12 league goals last season.

Julien Stephan agrees to become QPR manager

West Londoners have been keeping an eye on new managers ever since their decision to place Marti Sifuentes on their gardening holidays in April. The 42-year-old joined the RS in October 2023 and was responsible for 83 games, but the decision to place Cifuentes on the gardening holiday came as he reportedly told West Brom about their administered vacancy.

Rovers is one of the clubs chasing forwards to sign him, who is set to leave his club this summer.

RS had to be patient in searching for new bosses, but now it appears to be closed with reservations. Sky Sports’ Rob Dorsett reports that Stephan agreed to become the new QPR manager and soon agreed to put the pen on paper.

The French, like Cifuentes, did not manage in the Championship or the UK before this move. He worked in France for his business career, mainly for Stade Renai, where he lasted just under a year before resigning from the position in November.

The 44-year-old has worked at Rennes on several different occasions from setting up the youth to preparing for his first team. He hopes that QPR will fight on the far right of the table, so he can bring what he did in France to England.

As RS approaches Stefan’s appointment, they may also approach bringing in the first player under his reign. That’s because QPR is interested in signing Peterborough United’s Malik Mothersille, according to the world of football leagues.

The 21-year-old, who scored 12 goals in League One during the 2024/25 season, appeared in the hoops radar and newly promoted Charlton Athletic. The report doesn’t say how much Mothersille will cost or how much Posh would like, but given that he only has one year left on the contract, it could be a low-cost deal for RS.

Motheryu is not just nine. The forward operates on both the right and left side of the attack, making it a versatile attacker. In addition to his 12 goals in League One, the young striker scored four more goals in the EFL trophy as Peterborough crowned the champion.

His campaign in League One was recognized by him on the international stage as he gathered Jamaica’s first senior cap last season in the Unity Cup final against Nigeria.

QPR already has forward options like Alfie Loyd, Charlie Kelman, Michael Frey and Rayan Kolli, but as he approaches the top end of the championship, Stephen wants a more prolific scorer, and Mothersille might just be the answer.
