The Indiana Pacers forced Game 7 in the NBA Finals and decided on the MVP conversation in the basketball world.

Several candidates emerged from Indiana’s impressive postseason run with the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Pascal Siakam leads the frontrunner debate after consistent scoring throughout the series. His trusty production pinned Indiana’s offensive attacks when the team needed them most.

Pascal Siakam brought an even stronger performance in the key 108-91 victory in Game 6. The versatile forward recorded 16 points and 13 assists, showing off his complete skill set.

His double-digit scoring streak continued throughout the final. Siakam’s ability to create offensives for himself and his teammates made him crucial to Indiana’s success.

Tyreese Halliburton represents another viable candidate despite inconsistent statistical production. The Young Point Guard serves as an offensive conductor and emotional leader in Indiana, providing clutch performance when needed while adjusting the Indiana system accurately.

Former sixth man of the year Lew Williams provided an incredible final MVP perspective. Veteran analysts believe TJ McConnell deserves serious consideration of honor.

“I think it’s Siakam. I think he’s consistent, he was the guy who carried them,” Williams admitted.

“You can claim TJ McConnell. If you vote, you know you’ll vote for TJ McConnell.”

Williams’ reasoning comes from the background of his own bench player. “I’m six guys, and who’s going to come out of the bench more than I do and make sure they’re celebrated?”

The small guard consistently disrupts Oklahoma City’s rhythm throughout the series. His defensive strength and offensive opportunism caused problems due to the lightning.

McConnell’s Game 6 performance demonstrated his impact on the finals. He contributed 12 points, nine rebounds and four steals in a decisive victory.

His midrange shooting and lane penetration complemented his defensive pressure. McConnell scored double digits in three final games despite his bench role.

“It’s Pascal Siakam. He was the best player in the series. I think TJ McConnell is what he can do. He’s one of the most impactful guys with his presence and took advantage of every minute he was on the floor,” explained Williams.

The final MVP discussion highlights Indiana’s balanced team structure. Rick Carlisle has built a roster that can receive donations from multiple sources, with Game 7 set to determine both championships and individual honors.
