Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves were eliminated last month in the 2025 Western Conference final.

Despite defeating two Juggernauts, the Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors, the Minnesota Timberwolves met in the WCF.

It was nothing more than the ultimate 2025 NBA champion, the Oklahoma City Thunder. The series lasted just five games as OKC registered a compelling 4-1 series victory for the Minnesota Timber Wolves.

Anthony Edwards is far best player for the Timberwolves and he is also a huge fan favorite. After all, Edwards’ in-game antics and explosive playing style made fans fall in love with him.

Considering this was the final of Edwards’ second meeting, many people were hoping he would be furious. However, Ali had a strange reaction to losing with the hand of lightning.

“Yeah, man, hey, there’s Season 5 (is).

“I’m not going to make any excuses (whatever). They put the belt on our a__. I can’t be angry with it. We can’t be angry with it.

Although Edwards’ initial reaction to supporting lightning may have been confusing, he ultimately showed great character to absorb the removal. Ali also promised to be stronger and better next season.

“This is the first summer in two years that I can work on a game. I’ll lock in. I’ve really been able to work on my game. But we’re going to go back to their A__ next year,” Edwards said.

The Thunder was definitely more notch than the rest of the team this season. But if the Indiana Pacers pushed them to seven games, there’s no reason the TO-Olves couldn’t do that, right?

Well, the biggest reason behind the Timberwolves’ humiliating loss was the performance of their superstar, Edwards.

Aside from his FG%, Edwards’ numbers were down across box scores. This shows how ants struggle.

As coach Chris Finch said, Edwards needs to improve if he wants to reach the next level in the 2026 NBA playoffs.
