Fabian Edwards vs. Josh Silveira - PFL 7 Highlights

Fabian Edwards, a brother to former UFC welterweight champion Leon Edwards, won Josh Silveira with a dominant decision on Friday night, progressing to the PFL World Tournament Finals.

Edwards was able to almost catch the Brazilians with an inverted triangle before using Kimura as a means of escape, but Silveira chose to bring things to the canvas after a fiery exchange at his feet.

That trend continued in the second, with Silveyra throwing leather with Brit for about a minute before shooting a single leg. Edwards rose to separate, but it was only a matter of time before Sylveira closed his distance and tried to suppress Edwards’ attack.

While in the clinch, Edwards landed his knee in the middle, urging Silveira to take his knee near the fence. Edwards quickly jumped over his neck and fished for a naked chalk in the rear, where there was plenty of time left in the second stanza. Silveira had plenty in a tank enough to protect Edwards’ attempts to submit and defend his way back. Once there, Silveira looked like he was running in the sky as the “Assassin” poured it out in the final seconds of the round.

Silveira wasn’t enough for the tanks to set up many battles, so round three was Edwards all. Edwards closed the fight and Silveyra desperately defended to reduce the damage and descended his elbows off the mount to reach the final bell.

Official Results: Fabian Edwards def. Josh Silveira (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) unanimously decided
