The Queensland Reds include 11 Test players on Day 23, including nine Wallabies and two All Blacks, to face the UK and Ireland Lions on Wednesday night.

Jock Campbell recreates his role in the fullback and wears the Captain Badge, but the new recruit and One Cap All Black Aidan Ross will strengthen the front row alongside the original All Black Jeffrey Tohmaga Allen and Wallaby’s Hooker Matt Fessler.

Toomaga-Allen and Ross have previously been crammed into the Lions during their 2017 New Zealand tour.

Lukhan Salakai-Loto will partner in the second row with Josh Canham, with the backrows packing a lot of talent with Seru Uru returning with the flanker with John Bryant and Joe Brial closing the forward pack.

Meanwhile, the Reds’ backline is set to bring some razzle dazzling while Wallaby’s Center’s Hunter Paisami and Josh Floek are partnering.

In the absence of Tom Lina, Harry McLaughlin Phillips partnered half of his playmaking role with Kalani Thomas.

“The excitement is certainly high,” Reds coach Les Kiss said. “Looking at history, it is a unique and special group as coaches who get opportunities for Queensland players and Lions teams.

“It was a one-off match, but there was a vision in their match between Argentina and the Western Army.

“They are incredibly talented teams. They took on some of the DNA of the Irish team. I would like to welcome (head coach) Andy Farrell, (assistant coach) Simon Easterby and other coaches.

“In this match, we need to be very good in the air and breakdowns, and they showed off the offensive as well.

“We have to meet these challenges, but we also put rugby brands there, and we will continue to stand behind ourselves.

“Why can’t we put our best feet in front of us, rip us and see what happens?”

Queensland Reds: Jockbell, Lachie Anderson, Josh Flok, Hom Paisami, Tim Ryan, Harry McLaughlins, Phillips, Jurant, John Bryant, Sel Ul, and Luka. Alternatives: Josh Nasser, George Blake, Seff Faaguse, Ryan Smith, Angus Bryce, Connor Best, Louis Vercon and Isaac Henry.
