Liverpool striker Darwin Nunes has linked his move away from the club during the summer transfer, with Italian champion Napoli trying to sign him.
According to Corriere Dello Sport, they are in constant contact with his agent, Fali Ramadani. However, Liverpool is asking for a significant amount and Napali doesn’t want to stop paying. It will be interesting to see if the two clubs can compromise.
Plus, players are demanding wages of around 6 million euros per season, and Naples has a problem too. If personal terms cannot be agreed with the player, Napoli is unlikely to pursue further movement. It is still unknown how the situation will develop.
Darwin Nunes needs to leave
The 26-year-old Uruguay International struggled with regular game times at Liverpool last season, and he is unlikely to become a key player for the next season. It makes sense for him to move on and join a club that he plays regularly.
Napoli won the league title last season. They could be an ideal destination for players. They can offer him the opportunity to fight for Champions League football and major trophies. Italian outfits have quality players and world-class managers like Antonio Conte.
A new start is ideal
Nunes has not been able to live up to expectations since the big money to Liverpool moved, and needs a manager who can bring him the best. Conte was certainly one of the best and was able to play an important role in supporting South America’s hit top form. He is labelled as an “incredible” player.
This move is ideal for all involved. Liverpool looks as much as possible for him and moves on. He is unable to score goals consistently and must invest in a reliable finisher. The proceeds from South American departures certainly help them bring their own signatures.
