Los Angeles right-handed pitcher Tyler Glasnow won’t return to rotation as expected.

Glasnow, who was on the injured list at the end of April, gave up five runs on five hits on Friday in his second rehab with Triple A Oklahoma City. The wanted the right-hander to pass at least four frames, but instead, Glasnow continued in just 2.1 innings.
The latest set-off means that Glasnow will likely need to begin at least two rehabilitations before he can make a long return to the much-anticipated rotation, according to manager Dave Roberts.
Glasnow is on the sidelines with shoulder problems and is one of three key starters injured. Along with Glasnow, Blake Snell and Roki Sasaki remain in IL.
Glasnow has scored five starts with the this season, earning his ERA 4.50 with 23 strikeouts and a 1.278 whip in 18 innings.
The right-hander has dealt with five different injuries since April 2024. Glasnow dealt with convulsions, back injuries and elbow tendonitis (which later turned to elbow sprain) last season.
The ace missed the entire postseason, but expressed optimism about staying healthy throughout 2025.
Glasnow revealed that maintaining a balance between mechanisms and pitching “freely” is where he struggles to carry out and could be a factor in his frequently injured status.
“I think it was a constant job. It’s hard to get out there and not think about things. It can make a difference. I think it really feels good. It’s just making a bad mood.”
The hope is that Glasnow will return in the coming weeks to provide much needed reinforcements for the depleted rotation.
