The PFL landed in France on September 26th, with Abdur Abdur Gaimov finding cards against an opponent that has not yet been confirmed in Nantes, the company announced on Monday.
This marks the PFL’s first trip to France since the event cancelled in Paris on May 26th.
The card will also take place in the semi-finals of the PFL Europe Lightweight and Bantamweight Tournament, with the winner punching the ticket with a $100,000 prize money in Lyon on December 13th.
Born in Darnten, but based in Nantes, “Lazy King” has won three straight titles under the PFL European banner since 2023, closing with a decision over UFC veteran Laurea Nostar Poly in the main event at France’s Dessin’s Chacha Pue in December 2024.
“The PFL is home,” Abdourugimov said in the release. “After 21 professional fights, I can finally fight in front of the crowds of my house. There I grew up and learned about the sport. And now I’m Zenith Nantes’ Metropole, trying to do the next lazy show.
Abdouraguimov’s nine consecutive wins also included a quick title victory over Ares FC MMA veterans Godofredo Pepey and Karl Amoussou, becoming the two-dimension champions, Welterweight and Middleweight, before signing with the PFL.
