India preferred to go with Shardel Thakur as a pace bowling all-around in that match, and the Mumbai veteran couldn’t make a big impact on all four innings.
Gautam Gambhir-led team administrators drove and dropped Shardul Thakur for the second Test, with Nitish Kumar Reddy heading down the road with Play XI.
Lady was given the opportunity to hit the 6th as Sai Sudalsan got x, with Karun Naia being promoted to third place. The 22-year-old all-rounder came out on the bat after his 61st termination of Rishabh Pants and was fired on the next.
On the fourth ball of the 62nd, veteran pacer Chris Walke bowled a good-length ball outside the stump and bowled Nitish Kumar Reddy.
Nitish Kumar Reddy gave no shots on its delivery, and the ball was shaped sharply to rattle his stumps. The all-around was rejected after a single run from six balls.

Woakes was excellent at the new ball – Stuart Broad
Talking about Sky Sports, the legendary Pacer Stuart Broad praised Chris Walks with his amazing new ball spell. He said:
“I think India was probably a really good Test cricket as England had to bowl two really good balls to get the wicket. Perhaps India had to bowl two really good balls. They were excellent for the new ball.
“There’s a little seam, a little seam. The pitch can be slower here before the sun shines.”
Also ahead of the match, Stuart Broad said the English team is trying to offer better performances on the ball in the second Test. He said:
“Well, they won the toss, bowled the Headingley, and probably didn’t get the pitch length slightly right, so I think the bowling offense has a huge opportunity to work together again, grow, communicate and adapt to the conditions as quickly as possible.
“So they’re going to be looking for a bit better with the ball, but they also found time to blow the Indian tail.
