Purani Dilli 6 has confirmed his retention of India’s Test vice captain Rishabh Pants as a marquee player for the 2025 Delhi Premier League (DPL) season. The franchise continues the pants at the forefront, but his participation in the tournament remains uncertain due to the national team’s commitment.
The 2025 Delhi Premier League player auction is scheduled to take place over two days in New Delhi. In particular, the men’s auction will be held on Sunday, July 6th, followed by a women’s auction on Monday, July 7th. After the auction ends, the full tournament schedule will be announced.

Delhi & District Cricket Association has confirmed the addition of two new men’s teams in the Delhi Premier League – Outer Delhi and New Delhi. These franchises debuted in the 2025 season, increasing their team total from 6 to 8.
The second season of DPL will be held again at Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. The full schedule including match dates and equipment will be announced following the conclusion of the player auction.
