Tottenham Hotspur is interested in signing Mohamed Kudus from rival West Ham United.
According to TBR Football, they recently turned down an offer of around £55 million for the 24-year-old attacker. The player has a £84 million release clause on the deal, and West Ham currently supports several of the roughly £65 million.
They believe it is a reasonable asking price for a player of his quality. It will be interesting to see if Spurs has decided to pay £10 million more than what they originally wanted to pay.
Chelsea are also enthusiastic about Kudus.
Kudus improves spurs
The 24-year-old is a high-quality player who has shown his club and country abilities in recent seasons. He could be the Tottenham difference maker in the final third. He can be slotted in the central area and sides. He creates opportunities for his teammates and finds the backstage of the net too. He was still relatively young and was able to improve even further with his coaching and experience.
Arsenal midfielder and Thomas Parliament of Ghana recently named Kudus “Starboy.” The Spurs have to do everything on their strength to get a deal across the line. He was a solid long-term investment and was able to justify future spending.
Spurs need Mohamed Kudus
The Spurs need a quality player like him if they want to consistently fight for the trophy. They managed to win the UEFA Europa League last season, but it cannot put out paper on paper over cracks. They finished just above the relegation zone in the Premier League. To get better in the league next season, improvements are needed.
Meanwhile, the African wants to take the next step in his career and join a club where he can win the trophy. Tottenham could be an attractive destination.
