Manchester United reportedly got a boost as Napoli is interested in Alejandro Garnacho’s potential transfer move.
The Serie A Giants were first enthusiastic about Garnacho in January, but they still seem to consider him a target this summer.
According to Daily Mirror, Man Utd is desperate to get rid of Argentina International, so he will be pleased to hear that Napoli is ready to pay him £45 million.
Should Manchester United maintain or sell Alejandro Garnacho?
Ghanacho finished with 11 goals and nine assists in all competitions last season, and at age 21 he was able to improve even more.
However, it is clear that he is not in Reuben Amorim’s plan as he went publicly to his manager when he didn’t begin the final Europa League defeat to Tottenham.
Overall, he wasn’t consistent enough during his time at Old Trafford and it appears that his attitude is not the best, either.
When Chelsea expressed interest in Garnacho in January, the Telegraph reported that the Blues wanted assurances on the player’s temperament.
The fact that Chelsea did not sign Garnacho probably tells you everything you need to know.
Can Garnacho revive his career in Naples?
Recently, I have seen several Premier League flops revive their Italian careers.
Things like Christian Purisic, Reuben Loftus Cheek and Fikayo Tomori all struggled with Chelsea before reviving their AC Milan career.
Romell Lukaku also struggled with spells with both United and Chelsea, but has since flourished in Serie A in Inter Milan, Rome and now all of Naples.
Even Scott McTominay has taken his game to another level since moving from Manchester to Naples last summer, so perhaps Garnacho will help him try the same thing.
