The Los Angeles have handled injuries for most of the season, but on the unusual turn of the event, they received good news about one of the bystanders.

Manager Dave Roberts revealed that Max Muncie’s recovery from a bone bruise in his left knee is on track, with the third base hand moving in the right direction.
“One of our coaches, Brandon McDaniel, was at home yesterday and spoke to him,” Roberts said. “(Muncie) is already on his bike. His spirit is up. He’s moving around. I don’t know the timeline, but I encouraged him to make good progress.
Muncie was injured on July 2nd when Chicago White Sox outfielder Michael A. Taylor slipped into his knee while attempting to steal 3 base.
The will not have the first third baseman of six weeks while on the injured list. With Muncie’s absence, the use Miguel Rojas and Tommy Edman mostly in the hot corner.
Kiké Hernandez and Rojas were to start third with the left-handed pitcher, but the Utilityman was sidelined with an elbow injury.
It is clear that Muncie lacked the lineup as the offense cooled amid the team’s seven-game winning streak.
Before landing in the IL, Muncy hit nine home runs and 31 RBIs in the final 30 games to cut .319/.442/.659.
Thankfully, the ‘ three baseman is expected to return him in the coming weeks. There was speculation that the front office would resort to trade markets to find alternatives to Muncie, but general manager Brandon Gomez revealed that the do not need to add to their trade deadline plans.
“We had more (injury situations) and came out on the other side rather than optimistic,” Gomez said. “So it was nice to know that it lifted my head and said, ‘Hey, he’ll be there.’ ”
