Los Angeles star Clayton Kershaw made his 11th All-Star appearance in Atlanta this week.

Kershaw threw six pitches and was taken away from the Midsummer Classic after manager Dave Roberts recorded his first strikeout. The three-time Cy Young winner received two quick-outs while he joked throughout the performance.
Kershaw returned to the dugout at Trust Park, returning to the standing ovation and some high fives from his NL teammates.
Initially, Southpaw felt uncertain about his presence in the 2025 All-Star Game, given that he was selected as a “Legend Pick” by MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred. Kershaw has won 3.38 ERAs this season with more than 10 ERAs, which is not an All-Star figure at all.
However, the Car Show was one of the most popular All-Stars of the year. Especially at the NL Clubhouse.
San Diego Padres right-hander Jason Adam was able to release the Car Show in two innings in the midsummer classic, expressing his gratitude for his future Hall of Fame in Atlanta.
“() came here, did this for a baseball game, were here with us and led us,” Adam told Athletic.
Adam called Kershaw “the best in the game” and wasn’t the only Padre to highly praise the star. Manny Machado also spoke about the standing ovation of Kershaw, showing how well-respected left-handed people are around the league.
“I think you’re talking about the legend of the game,” Machado said. “I think when you go there, the game is on top of the competition.”
