QPR plot moves to sign 14 goals EFL striker
According to West London Sports, QPR is interested in signing Colchester United striker Samson Tovides.
The 21-year-old joined Colchester at a young age and has since played for his first team through the academy setup. Tovide was a regular in the first team in the final three campaigns, during which he scored 13 goals in League 2 and one goal in the EFL trophy.
Despite being missing for two months due to injuries last season, Tovide scored seven goals and impressive six assists in two games in the 29 leagues. His performance in the fourth tier of English Football won QPR attention and several other unnamed teams.
RS is trying to add youthful vibrancy to the forefront and believes it will fit the bill.
There’s no mention of how much the younger striker will cost, but given that he’s on a contract until 2027, Colchester is trying to maximize his fees as he’s on the championship side, particularly in interest.
Tovide’s potential arrival could be a direct replacement for Kelman, who struggled to identify a starting spot in QPR, played just 26 games and didn’t score a single goal.
