Chelsea is “very close” to agreeing to Zabi Simons’ deal
According to reporters, the 22-year-old’s move is actually “alonger” than what has been claimed elsewhere.
Chelsea’s speech is “fast” for Simons, and the deal feels “very close” and only the final details are resolved.
“Simons in particular is actually even more lined up than what’s reported.” I wrote Phillips.
“Chelsea are just covering themselves in case it’s not over. The club needs to be sold, but I don’t feel like Christopher Nukank needs to go first before Chelsea signs Simons, but some advancements in that could help.
“Our source was the last thing we asked Simmons towards Chelsea, that it was very close, but there were final details to sort it out.
“I keep hearing that ‘trading is going fast’ and there’s real agility in both players (Pigs and Simmons). ”
Simons has been reportedly Leipzig’s best paid player at around £192,000 a week, as Dutch International has been seriously impressed with them since he first joined the loan in early 2023/2024.
His tally of 21 goals and 23 assists in all competitions has prompted Leipzig to make his move permanent with his first £43 million in January, but it appears he has already moved specifically to Chelsea.
