Man United is in the market for new strikers, but signing someone is much easier than they say. They are interested in many options, but their list of candidates is down by one.
After signing Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo, Man United hopes to add a new striker to complete the offensive trident, considering that they are not convinced by Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee. Ollie Watkins, Benjamin Sesko, Nicolas Jackson and others are on the radar, but in the latter case he isn’t that long.
Man United is not planning to sign Nicholas Jackson this summer
According to a football insider, Mick Brown has revealed that Man United is expected to end his interest in Jackson, given that he has no intention of playing Chelsea’s asking price to the Senegalese striker.
“No, I wouldn’t think that would happen. I’d be very surprised if Man United signed Jackson. I have concerns about his temperament and the mental aspects of his game, and I don’t think he’s consistent enough on the pitch to overturn those concerns.
“If Chelsea are trying to get rid of him, it tells us if he’s enough for United. They’re going to see their other options, not thinking he’s the type of striker they need.
“I think he has a long contract like all his teammates, so they can’t afford him and definitely not make Man United. He didn’t do anything to be the ideal person to unite him because of the money he needed to get him.”
