It was discovered that not Nassoldin Imavov, but Caio Borralho will act as a backup fighter for the main event of the UFC 319 Championship between Dricus du Plessis and Khamzat Chimaev on August 16th.
Borralho announced on social media that it would weigh at 185 pounds as a Chicago spare fighter a day before UFC 319, informing MMA Firting, who will face Imavov three weeks later at the main event in UFC Paris.
“Every time the UFC calls, I’m answering and ready,” wrote Boraljo. “See you in Chicago. Dorikas and Chimaev, if you all want to rest… I’m ready to fight!”
Imavov was originally expected to become a backup fighter in mid-August, but when he agreed to face France’s Boraljo, he said “the situation has changed.”
