UK and Ireland’s Lions vs Australia: Andy Farrell claims he’s not done with work.”

Andy Farrell’s side is aiming to make history for the first time in nearly 100 years and become the first British and Irish Lions team to complete the whitewash of the test.

The Lions took a 2-0 lead in Saturday’s third Final Test after following up on a dominant first Test victory in their memorable comeback last weekend.

When Willie John McBride’s “Invincibility” in 1974 became unbeaten throughout the tour and became the first Lions team to win all Tests since 1927, the victory would be their first Lions team.

And they hope to send Australia to the third consecutive weekend, matching the quality shown in Brisbane’s first half with the second 80 minutes at Melbourne Cricket Ground.

“This job isn’t done in any form or form. We have a really motivated group that set their stall,” forward coach John Dalziel said.

“There’s only one way we want to finish this. It’s to get undefeated and try to win 3-0. We don’t want to get off track.

“We know it’s going to be a very tough job and Australia showed last week. They’re on the good side and they’ll be good again. They’ll be the motivation to play here.

“We have to find that energy and go again.

“We still have performances. We had 40 minutes on both tests, so we want to see our supporters and everyone at home for 80 minutes and show them what the lion is.”

Wing Tommy Freeman missed a training run during Friday’s match at Acol Stadium due to the overall workload of the tour, but Dalziel emphasized that he had no concerns about his fitness.

Pulling the climactic strings on tour is Fin Russell, a Scottish fly half who built an effective creative alliance with Ireland’s Jamison Gibson Park.

“Finn is always mature,” said Dalziel, a fellow Scottish man who has developed more rounded games since his early days as Maverick.

“Many players like him have been criticized for not being able to play different styles. But here we are bringing together four countries and he delivered a game plan while he was himself. So he was chosen and why he is world class.

“There were moments when he drove his team around the park, but there were moments when he saw the others and let him get into space.
