Kevin Garnett enjoyed an incredible NBA career filled with many accomplishments during his legendary tenure.

His ads include one MVP title, one championship, 15 All-Star selections, nine All-NBA honors and one Defensive Player of the Year award.

Beyond individual awards, Kevin Garnett holds a unique record as the only player in NBA history to lead the franchise in all five major statistical categories: points, rebounds, assists, steel and blocks.

He achieved this incredible feat before joining the Boston Celtics with the Minnesota Timberwolves in his time from 1995 to 2007, returning from 2015 to 2016.

Garnet led Minnesota with 19,210 points, 10,718 rebounds, 4,216 assists, 1,315 steel and the 1,590 block.

However, this special record could soon break down next season by Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetocomo.

Giannis only needed 82 steels to lead the Bucks in its final stats category, making him the second player to achieve this feat. This milestone appears to be highly achievable within a season, given his track record.

Throughout his 12-year career, Giannis has recorded at least five more steels in a season, at least 82 or more. His consistent defensive activity will make it realistic for next season once this threshold is reached.

These 82 steels allow Giannis to surpass the 1,042 steel Quinbünbuckner franchise record with Milwaukee. Buckner now holds the Bucks’ highest steel record ever, with Giannis approaching.

Until the end of last season, Giannis had accumulated 20,538 points, 8,530 rebounds, 4,288 assists and 1,064 blocks for Milwaukee. He already leads franchises in all four categories by substantial margins.

Interestingly, Giannis may not break this record if he decides to leave Milwaukee as rumors of trade escalated over the summer. His potential departure will end Garnet’s pursuit of unique achievements.

The Warriors reportedly expressed interest in bringing him to the Bay Area recently. His decision will determine whether he will have the opportunity to join Garnet in this exclusive category.

If Giannis decides to stay in Milwaukee, his energetic playing style that distinguishes him from other superstars can help him break Garnet’s record next season.

His versatility at both ends of the court allows him to contribute to all statistical categories while maintaining a high level of production.

Giannis’ ability to influence victory through multiple statistical areas reflects Garnett’s approach during Minnesota’s tenure. Both players show how the versatile superstars can control the franchise’s record book.
