Honda rider Tommy Bridewell says he was given “all clear” after a recent major crash in the brand’s Hatch British Superbike Round due to suspicions of a broken pelvis breaking.
2023 series champion Bridewell was flicked from the Honda Superbike as he came out of the clearway in Race 2 at the Brand Hatch Round July 25-27.
He was forced to withdraw from the final race, and Honda teammate Andrew Irwin also suffered a troublesome accident.
After the brand meeting, Bridewell was suspected of smashing his pelvis from the high side.
However, further scans revealed that he had only been bruises.
A brief statement posted on Instagram said, “It’s just an update on my condition after I suspected my pelvis had broken from a crash in my brand hatch.
“After more x-rays and scans, it’s completely clear to us. There are no fractures. Thankfully, it’s just a bruise.
“Alpinester and HJC helmet, I am very grateful for your support. It’s the best in business.”
It remains to be seen whether Bridewell will be able to participate in BSB’s Thruxton round this weekend.
After the opening of the 5th round of the 2025 BSB campaign, Bridewell will sit sixth in points.
Earlier on Monday, another Lee Jackson BSB veteran was confirmed as an absentee in this weekend’s Thraxton round.
The DAO Racing Honda Rider crashed during a brand meeting and suffered an obvious foot injury.
The team has not yet confirmed any replacements.
