In an official statement released by Cricket Scotland, Tom Bruce said there is a “long Scottish history” among his family and is excited to represent Scotland after playing for New Zealand five years ago. He said:

“I know that some of my family has a long history in Scotland and I am incredibly proud to represent Scotland on the world stage. I am lucky enough to play for New Zealand five years ago, and I want to continue to show off my skills on the world stage and continue to achieve success for the Scottish team.

“I was involved in the 2016 setup for a short time, and it was a great experience. I played with a lot of Scottish players and many.
