Leicester City and Southampton are reportedly interested in signing goalkeeper Pierce Charles on Wednesday.
Mads Hermansen recently completed his move to West Ham United, with Leicester having to take over. Signing a talented goalkeeper like Charles could prove to be a wise decision. The 20-year-old is highly regarded throughout the UK and has a bright future for the future.

Alex Miller recently claimed via Derbyshirelive: “Northern Ireland’s number one is a goalkeeper of great potential and has all the skills to make it in the top division. He’s now 20.
It remains to be seen whether Sheffield Wednesday is ready to let him leave. Charles is a promising young talent, and Leicester was able to develop him into a future star. Fox needs a quality goalkeeper this summer, and the situation is worth closely monitoring.

Meanwhile, Charles could be seduced by the idea of joining Leicester if he can promise regular game times. His great potential makes him unable to afford to sit on the bench at a big club. Leicester wants to see a promotion next season and want quality players to be at their disposal.

But Sheffield Wednesday certainly hopes Charles will stay beyond this summer. As their key players, they aim to develop him further and sell him for future premiums. At his age there is still plenty of room for development, and selling him could mean they have failed to maximize his value.
