Chelsea and Aston Villa are reportedly likely to have some discussion about the deal involving both Nicholas Jackson and Morgan Rogers.
Jackson clearly defeated the pecking order on Enzo Maresca’s side after two years of unconvincing form at Stamford Bridge.
With Chelsea bringing Joan Pedro and Liam Dellup in this season, we certainly plan to see Jackson leave before the end of the window.
Senegal International has been linked to Aston Villa by the Telegraph and there is currently another update on his situation.
Speaking to the Chelsea Chronicle, according to Graeme Bailey, the discussion with Villa could also include the possibility that Rogers would move to Chelsea.
Will Nicholas Jackson and Morgan Rogers swap deal be discussed?
Bailey commented: “I hope Jackson will go. From my understanding at this point, I think he’s likely going to go to the villa with Emery.
“I said I could help Chelsea and Villa’s relationship, and I know that if Chelsea really wants Morgan Rogers, then at some point he’s desperate for Morgan Rogers, but if that’s the case, it’s a bit easier for Villa to sign Jackson.
“And I think they can do behind the scenes where Chelsea secures Morgan Rodgers’ first option as part of that deal. All of these conversations happen. I think there’s a real chance Jackson ends up in the villa.”
Does Chelsea need Morgan Rogers?
Rogers shines in the villa and establishes himself as one of the most exciting young talents in English football.
It’s easy to see why Chelsea is so enthusiastic about England International, but there are already many other similar players in the book.
Jamie Gitens and Estevao Willian joined us this summer, but the CFC had already had top talent in that area of the pitch like Cole Palmer and Pedro Neto.
On top of that, they still pursue both Xavi Simons and Alejandro Garnacho, so it’s hard to imagine Rodgers getting a lot of playing time if Rodgers were involved.
