Nikola Jokic finally has a candidate again

The Denver Nuggets began working this offseason and brought in strong players to pair with Nicola Djokic.

The Denver Nuggets knew they had to make changes to their roster this offseason. Nikola Djokic proved he had his previous team.

So the front office got to work. The Nuggets had a great free agency, with Bruce Brown, Tim Hardaway Jr. and Jonas Vallanciunas landing.

Another big swing they took came in the form of trade as the Nuggets signed a deal from the net to land Cam Johnson for Michael Porter Jr.

And after adding Kessler Edwards to enhance the depth, the Nuggets hold a real competitor in his hand.

The Denver Nuggets will still be locked in Nikola Jokic next season as the Serbian sensation appears to be about to win his second NBA championship.

And this will be the roster he can expect to play in October:

As David Adelman tries to rely on aging players, expect Kessler Edwards, Zeke Nnaji and Hunter Tyson to get big minutes on spins too.

Cam Johnson’s improved shooting will replace his outgoing Michael Porter Jr., so it only solidifies his position further in the starting lineup.

With a much improved roster, Nikola Djokic has all the tools in the world to win his fourth MVP award. This nugget roster is the best they’ve put together.

But for the Serbian star, winning the NBA championship is far more important. That’s why he’s happy with this roster.

The biggest advantage of this roster is that they have Jokic’s backup in a central location. Jokic previously praised Valanciunas, but now he can rely on him in the same role.

As OKC Thunder is still a strong side in the West, Jokic has the Arsenal needed to fight against Shaygilgauss Alexander and his side, coming out of the West.
