According to Fabrizio Romano, Rome approached Liverpool and discussed the potential relocation of Costas Zimica from Merseyside to the Italian capital. The Serie A side wants to sign left back on their first loan, but the Premier League champions will soon prefer a permanent move.
Tsimikas spends most of his time as a backup option for Andy Robertson on the left defensive side, and he has always wanted to express how happy he is in the role. However, Liverpool signed with Bournemouth’s Milos Kerquez this summer, and the Serbian-born Hungary International appears to have moved ahead of both Robertson and Timicus, one of which left a surplus in Arne Slot’s team requirements.
Robertson was turned over to leave for a while with Atletico Madrid interested in his services, but the move eventually collapsed, and now it appears that Tsimikas might leave Anfield.
Tsimikas joined Liverpool from Olympiacos in 2020, and since then, Greek International in 2029 has made a total of 115 appearances for the club without scoring in a competitive match. He has two years left in his contract.
As Roma approaches Liverpool today, Costas Tsimikas is in the process of taking part in his first loan deal.
