According to The eraWolverhampton Wanderers rejected a £55 million bid for Jorgenstrandlersen of Newcastle. It was an improved offer with the previous one, but obviously it wasn’t enough to convince the wolves to sell. They also raised the number of Newcastle striker offers and rejected a total of eight this summer.
Magpies are desperate to acquire a new striker, and Alexander Isaac is refusing to train with the team at an angle for his move to Liverpool. The Premier League champions are said to be waiting in the shadows with record-breaking offers, but only move if Newcastle opens the door. And that doesn’t happen until Eddie Howe has a new striker in his ranks.
So, a third bid in the possibly £60 million region is expected to test the wolves’ resolve in the coming days.
However, with the looming transfer window closure now near, other clubs seem reluctant to sell as they have little time to find replacements themselves.
The clock is ticking to resolve this complicated situation.
