Stephen Curry believes he and the Golden State Warriors are ready to prove the story wrong for years next season.
The Golden State Warriors have not done much this offseason despite the inconspicuous gap in their roster.
The situation with Jonathan Cuminga had a major impact on the Warriors as he had no other signatures this summer.
Things are so tense that Steve Kerr’s coaching style with the Warriors has been questioned by fans.
However, Stephen Curry doesn’t see much of a reason for destiny and darkness. In fact, he believes he and the Warriors have an opportunity to do something big next season.
Stephen Curry recently spoke in an interview while promoting youth summer camp. When the reporter asked Curry if he could win another NBA championship because he’s over 35.
Curry says he and the Warriors have the experience and talent to compete in the championship and looks forward to the “beautiful challenge.”
“We find it. I think we can. All the metrics that showed us that we were really good teams when we did last year, the third of the season after the trade deadline, when we were the top three in the league both offensive and defense.
“Obviously we have to stay healthy and get through the season at a high level, but I like the identity we have.
“The foundation of knowing how to play together towards the end of last season. I hope this can be translated this year.
“I know that question was asked a lot because of my age. This is something we’ve never seen before, but it’s a beautiful challenge in this game.”
The Golden State Warriors are looking at another NBA championship. But the way they are approaching this offseason suggests that it is not.
It’s understandable that the Warriors front office wants to resolve the situation at Jonathan Kuminga before making a new move, but they have placed them behind eight balls compared to other teams.
The Warriors are the only NBA team that has not signed or traded this offseason, and will shut down operations completely until the Cuminga situation is resolved.
But this could prove disastrous. Because it could leave the Warriors in a position where all their desired targets choose to sign with other teams.
