Tottenham reportedly agreed to a fee of 60 million euros with RB Leipzig for attacking Dutch midfielder Xavi Simons.

Catch off side Earlier in the summer, Simons’ agents reported that they provided players to all three: Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham.
However, since then, Chelsea appeared to be a very clear lead in the 22-year-old’s signature race.

“I’m going here, I’m looking forward to it soon.”
This looks like an ideal signature for THFC to bolster midfield options while attacking, as they missed both Morgan Gibbswhite and Ebekieze this summer.
James Madison’s injury was a big blow, and manager Thomas Frank would be happy to bring someone of this caliber to fill this gap.
Did Chelsea really need Zabi Simons?
It would be a blow for Chelsea to miss such top talent, but this is not a problematic position on Enzo Maresca’s part.
Jamie Gittens joined the team early in the summer, but Estevao Willian is now part of Chelsea’s first team. Joao Pedro is primarily a striker, but can also be filled out as an attacking midfielder.
CFC fans may be disappointed, but it seemed there was no need for Simons’ desperate need, so perhaps the players themselves are doing well to head to Tottenham instead.
