Aston Villa has previously had a quiet transfer window, but things are picked up within 48 hours until Monday’s deadline. A contract is working to sign West Ham’s Lucas Paketa, and the other has been agreed to a new striker.
Given that Aston Villa has not been replaced since its move to Al Nasr in January, it is no secret that they are looking to add a new striker to Unai Emery’s team. The recent signature Evan Speculation can be played as No. 9 if desired, but he is considered a versatile option that can be played as a wing or offensive midfielder.
Nicholas Jackson was recently sought, but he agreed to the terms with Bayern Munich. And now the contract is agreed to with the teenage goal.
Aston Villas reach agreement to sign Fletcher Boyd
According to soccer insiders, Aston Villa has reached an agreement to sign Aberdeen and Fletcher Boyd. The 17-year-old, who scored twice in 12 appearances on the SPFL Premiership side, is on his way to Villa Park for medical examinations, after which he signs a new contract.
Boyd is considered a player with great potential, and Aston Villa has been following him for a while. A deal is made and he attends an exciting young player mass at the club’s academy.
It’s unlikely that Emery will immediately resort to Boyd, given that he needs to develop before he’s ready to play regularly in the Premier League. However, Aston Villa believes he is extremely capable of doing so and time is on his side. It remains to be seen whether he is the only striker brought by the Midlands club before the summer transfer window closes.
