Former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp reportedly was involved in advising Harvey Elliott on his next move during this summer’s transfer period.
The 22-year-old has struggled to play at Anfield and now it appears he is heading for Aston Villa on a permanent move.
According to journalist Indy Kyra, former Reds boss Klopp is currently in a role at Red Bull, but has advised Elliot on his future this summer.
The Germans may have played an important role in guiding Elliott to leave Liverpool for the villa…
“Harvey Elliott received advice from Jurgen Klopp @avfcofficial once rb leipzig was off the picture. Harvey Elliott has an important connection with Jurgen Klopp,” Kyla wrote on X.
Will Harvey Elliott be able to revive his career at Aston Villa?
Elliott had a decent spell at Liverpool and proved a useful team player, but never really fulfilled his true potential.
England Under 21 International looked like a big lead during his former club Fulham, but it didn’t work for him in Liverpool.
With Florian Whartz on board this summer, it was even more difficult for Elliot to play regularly, so it’s no surprise to see Elliot decide to move on.
Villa could be the right kind of team for Elliott. Because he should have the opportunity to develop there under the expert guidance of UNAI Emery.
Spanish tacticians have previously shown that he can improve the youth and perhaps make the most of the players he struggled elsewhere.
LFC fans may be a bit disappointed to see Elliot leave, but they certainly understand his decision and hope that he is the best for a future where he could still be a great Premier League career.
