In 2010, LeBron James announced his departure from the Cleveland Cavaliers following a seven-year stint.
LeBron James held on the infamous “decision” to announce that he would take over his talents to the Miami Heat at the Eastern Conference.
In addition to James, Chris Bosch also joined the franchise. Eventually, James, Bosch and Dwyane Wade formed the Big Three in Miami.
The LBJ’s move to the heat shocked the NBA community at its heart. After all, it was unrealistic to see James’ caliber players join forces on two All-Stars and join forces on primes in their respective careers.
Clearly, The Heat’s Big 3 expectations were to win multiple NBA championships during his tenure.
“Not one, not two, not three, not four, not five, not six, not seven, not seven.
In hindsight, the Heat won back-to-back NBA titles in 2012 and 2013. However, they weren’t even close to the number James had predicted when he officially joined the Heat in 2010.
Despite being an active player, the Los Angeles Lakers star was recently inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame as a member of the 2008 redemption team.
Apart from that, hot owner Mickey Allison was also given the honor of his amazing running in the heat. During his Hall of Fame speech, Allison aimed for a subtle jab at James.
“In 2010, I knew I could win, along with Dwyane, Lebron and Chris Bosh, not just one, not two.
Allison’s clever jokes got caught up in laughter as the audience reminded me of LBJ’s infamous promises to the infamous fanbase.
