Former Crystal Palace Chairman Simon Jordan appointed an option that could be lined up to replace Oliver Grassner in 2026 with the Eagles manager.
Glasner linked up with Manchester United after a very impressive job at Selhurst Park to win the Community Shield at the FA Cup final last season and the start of this campaign.
Still, even if Glasner leaves for a bigger job, there could be a strong candidate out there, and Jordan believes former Leicester City and Nottingham Forest boss Steve Cooper should watch.
Cooper has just gotten a job in Blondebey and Jordan is suspected to be able to line up him to return to the Premier League club in a year.
Steve took the chip to replace Oliver Grassner as Crystal Palace Manager
“I was interested in Cooper at the palace two or three years ago. Glasner wouldn’t be in the palace a year later (laughs).
“He’s not in the palace. He’s still a year left. I’ll be a Gobsmack. I hope he is. I hope I’m wrong.
“But given the fact that he has little support, given the fact that he is barely supported, it is a clear possibility that he is on his way from the palace, considering that he is in his way from the palace.
“Given the fact that Cooper was preferred by the palace, it would not be beyond human wit to put him in a blondeby and then move from blondeby to the palace after a year of blondeby.
While there is no doubt that palace fans want them to be able to keep Glasner as long as possible, they must also be realistic about their manager being a man in demand, as many of their star players have been.
