The Los Angeles moved again on Shohei Ohtani’s next scheduled pitching start.

More news: The officially release a right-handed pitcher after a disappointing season

Otani was originally scheduled to pitch against the San Francisco Giants this weekend, but Otani won’t pitch until the host the Philadelphia Phillies next week.

Manager Dave Roberts said Otani might not pitch until Wednesday. This is the series finale against the Phillies, which will arrive just before their Thursday off. However, that has not been decided yet.

This is the third time Ohatani’s start has moved around last week.

“It was a bit sick, we were going to move him and just to give him a little extra rest to that last start backend,” Roberts said of the decision to push Otani back again.

Otani was initially expected to sell last Wednesday, but he was ill. He was still in the lineup as a designated batsman.

Otani then pitched on a short notice on Friday in place of Tyler Grassnow, who was dealing with backsliffness. The wanted to do all the moves and give Otani an extra rest.

The two-way star pitched a 3.2 shutout inning against the Baltimore Orioles on Friday. That year, he made 12 starts and sported 3.75 ERAs in 36 innings with 49 strikeouts.

As a batsman, Ohtani appeared in 143 games, cutting .280/.391/.609 with 48 home runs, hitting 92 runs with an OPS of 1.001. He is showing off well in the middle of winning the third consecutive MVP award, the fourth in the last five years.

When will the play next?

The Otani and the will be out for an important three-game series with the Giants before traveling to San Francisco on Thursday.

The currently lead the San Diego Padres in the National League West three games. They have an eight-game lead with the third-place Giants.
