Following the exit of the Eastern Conference Finals, the New York Knicks worked hard to improve their roster.

The New York Knicks’ decision to fire Tom Thibodeau began a summer of massive change for the team.

Once Mike Brown takes over as coach, the Knicks front office remains eager to add more players. The organization recently signed Malcolm Brogdon to strengthen its bench.

However, the Knicks are reportedly operating the former point guard, so it appears the Knicks are not finished yet.

Throughout the offseason, the Knicks appeared keen to improve the depth of the guard behind superstar Jalen Branson.

Following the signatures of Jordan Clarkson and Brogdon, the Knicks reportedly work with Dennis Smith Jr. on each insider Stephen Bondy.

The Knicks bring the familiar point guard.

Dennis Smith Jr. is working for the Knicks this week, a league source told the Post.

The former lottery is hoping to return to the NBA after playing for Real Madrid last season.

Upon learning the news, Knick Snation was split about Smith Jr. You may be able to return to the roster.

“DSJ has become a really good defender, but his 3PT shots aren’t there,” one fan wrote. Another was added, but “I’m for that.”

“The issues with DSJ in the NBA have always been a jumper that was consistent with the court’s vision,” said the third fan.

“He actually underestimated his last few years in the league,” the fourth fan recalled.

“It would be an invitation to a training camp that is not guaranteed,” another fan pointed out.

“Another epic failure of the Knicks season,” ferocious fans predicted.

Apart from fans being split up about Smith Jr.’s skills, the Knicks are unable to even sign him into a permanent deal now that he already has a full roster.

Brian Windhorst is labelled as a generational opportunity for the Knicks next season, making it the key to bringing that dream to life for each member of the roster.

But does Smith Jr. even fit this new timeline for the Knicks? After all, he was already out of the league as 26 years old.

Putting that aside, Smith Jr.’s first stint with the Knicks lasted three years, playing just 58 games in that time. He averaged 8.7 points, 2.4 rebounds and 3.7 assists during his tenure.

Certainly not the ideal number for previous lottery picks. Can DSJ prove that his suspect is wrong? That would be a big gamble for the Knicks.
