According to boys Hotspur, Liverpool and Chelsea are reportedly among the clubs seeking a potential transfer move for Tottenham defender Mickey Van de Ben.
The 24-year-old has proven the Spurs’ great signature after catching eye before during his spell with Wolfsburg in Bundesliga.
Van des Ben continues to develop well in his time as a Tottenham player, and it makes sense that interest in him is growing from the bigger club.
Boy Hotspur mentions interest from Liverpool and Chelsea, but also from European giants Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.
The report also points out that Van de Ven is on a rather low salary with Spurs, and imagines it could harm the possibility of keeping him.
Mickey Van De Ben’s transfer can be a concern for Tottenham
Van de Ben probably correctly selected Tottenham as a good Stepping Stone club a few years ago, but he now feels he can play at an even higher level.
The Dutch International looks like an ideal long-term alternative to Liverpool’s aging Virgil van Dyk, but he is also a clear upgrade to Chelsea’s current defensive options.
It will be interesting to see if these clubs will soon be making concrete offers to Van des Ben, but they will certainly be an attractive option for him.
Van des Ben is in the Champions League at THFC this season, but in general, he is not always guaranteed to compete in the top European clubs.
And the fact that Liverpool and Chelsea can certainly offer him better money is why Spurs fans start to worry about this situation.
Tottenham has often had to sell some of the star names over the years, including Harry Kane, Gareth Bale and Luka Modric, but they hope to keep many of the members of this talented young team together as long as possible.
