Carmelo Anthony had a great season in the NBA, but few would have expected him to give the answer he did.

Carmelo Anthony is one of the best scorers in NBA history. The overall pick, third place in the 2003 NBA Draft, appeared and immediately made an impact.

Anthony was advised by Michael Jordan to allow him to become a great scorer. And for many years, he will thrill fans with his amazing offensive output.

NBA legend Phil Jackson felt that if he had the right tools around him, Carmelo could be a scorer like Jordan and Kobe Bryant.

In all the great scoring seasons he had, Carmelo feels his best NBA season has come when he had his best scoring average.

Carmelo Anthony recently spoke at the event at Ctrl The Norative. When discussing his best season in the NBA, he named his final year the LA Lakers.

His scores were the lowest of that season, but Anthony noted that his efficiency and field goal ratio was the highest in his career.

“To be honest, my best year I’ve ever been with the Lakers. Looking at numbers and efficiency and the target percentages of the field, we’re now in numbers games and analysis.

“So, looking at the analysis, Lakers year was one of my best years of the 19 seasons.

“New York was more refined, more intelligent, a gaming student, and thought of games more than physical games.”

Although Advanced Statistics is not accessible, a quick look at his field goal percentage over the years shows that Carmelo Anthony didn’t have the best season with the LA Lakers.

In fact, Carmelo Anthony spent 11 seasons and shot over 44.1% off the field.

Additionally, his average with the LA Lakers was lower than what he averaged off the field throughout his career, shooting 44.7% between in the NBA.

Anthony has all the rights to be proud of his stint with the Lakers. But compared to some of his best seasons, it doesn’t compare.
