Bayern Munich is reportedly one of the clubs interested in the move to Liverpool’s centre back Ibrahimaconate’s free transfer.

According to Christian Folk in a column for Bayern Insider, France International is the player Bayern looks to as a defensive target.

Conate is nearing the end of his Liverpool contract, but this is not the first time Falk has linked him to a possible move to Allianz Arena.

Liverpool fans are hoping that Konate can be signed to a new contract as soon as possible, as other top clubs such as Real Madrid are also enthusiastic about being 26 years old.

Bayern had already signed Liverpool’s Louis Diaz last summer and appears to be looking at another potential raid on the Merseyside giants.

“Don’t forget: Conate was a player from Leipzig. He was able to make his way to the market as a free agent next summer. Bayern Munich has also looked at him,” Faulk wrote.

Konate has played for Germany for RB Leipzig before, but Falk seems to suggest that it could be a player’s factor in his thinking, but that’s certainly worth considering for Bayern.

Top players can struggle when moving to a new country or new league, but Conate should not find any major adjustments that come to Bayern after previously shining in Leipzig.

Again, it would certainly be very difficult for him to say no to Real Madrid, which remains one of the biggest names in soccer in the world.

Of course, Arsenal’s William Saliba had said no to the Los Blancos, but if he could persuade the star centre-back to do the same, it would be great news for the LFC.
