Liverpool are facing Premier League Crystal Palace and they’re down 1-0 after an early goal from Ismaila Sar.

The Premier League champion could have easily fallen on two or three goals without the extraordinary performance of Alison Becker. Liverpool’s goalkeeper is outstanding and he keeps visitors in the game.

However, it was a very disappointing defensive performance from Conate Ibrahima. France International is fighting Jean-Philippe Mateta. It’s a mediocre start to the season for him, and he’s under a lot of pressure. It will be interesting to see if he can go back strongly and improve.

He’s definitely a quality defender, but his performance is below par.

Ibrahima Conate’s keun

Former Arsenal star Martin Keeun believes Mateta is currently giving his fellow compatriot nightmares. The Liverpool star has struggled to keep Crystal Palace quiet in the first half, and it appears that Mateta is targeting him.

He told the BBC:

Konate failed to hit top form this season on the exit rink. The defender will know he wasn’t at his best and it will be interesting to see if he could improve in the second half. Liverpool will need to tighten up at the back if they want to get anything from this contest.

Crystal Palace finds it easy to get behind Liverpool’s defense and create opportunities consistently. The Eagles are pleased with the way they played in the first half, and Arne Slot will demand significant improvements from his players in the second half.

As alternatives emerge, club figures divided into possibilities for Liverpool’s transfer raid
