It wasn’t the easiest months for Newcastle. Alexander Isaac Saga influenced the start of the new season. And considering their performance and results over the last few weeks, it seems they are still catching up.
Isaac’s decision, which ended with him joining Liverpool, meant that Newcastle had no natural strikers on their team until the arrival of Nick Urtemaid and Yoan Wissa. However, the latter had not yet made his debut and was injured during an international break in September.
Newcastle broke the transfer record and signed Ultemaid from Stuttgart, and so far, much has been done from his move to St James Park. He scored only once in his first four appearances, but there appears to be a good reason why he isn’t running to the ground.
Nick Ultemaid causes problems with Eddie Howe’s plan
Following Daily Mail’s Craig Hope (via NUFC Feed), Woltemade is considered to be more than 10 than Newcastle’s nine, but since his arrival, Eddie has been unable to grasp plans to address German international strengths.
Hau was not helped by Wissa’s absence. Many Newcastle fans believe that, given their different traits, two players can be used together. Nevertheless, Woltemade shows some promises in the early stages of his time at the club, but both he and the tactics need to adapt to ensure that they work in unison.
It is still unclear how Woltemade will reach over the next few months if he remains suited to himself. Newcastle appreciates him so highly, and over time he should be better and better at St. James Park.
