Manchester United’s upheaval campaign under Reuben Amorim has once again raised doubts about the future of the Portuguese manager. The Fresh Report also suggests that Crystal Palace boss Oliver Grassner could be a serious candidate for Old Trafford’s hot seat.

The Red Devils are currently 14th in the Premier League after their latest defeat to Brentford in the Premier League.

The Ineos and club hierarchies haven’t yet shown that Amorim will be removed anytime soon, but the clash with newly promoted Sunderland next weekend could prove decisive. Another defeat could force the board to make changes before an international break.

One of the currently linked names is Glasner, who changed Crystal Palace after arriving in southern London.

Journalist Ben Jacobs argues that if he offered United’s job, Glasner would be happy to take it.

Jacobs told Talksport:

“My info is that if Glasner is offered a job for Manchester United, he’ll take it with a heartbeat.”

The Austrian led the Eagles to their first major trophies earlier this year, beating Manchester City in the FA Cup final.

He also beat Liverpool on the Community Shield in August, and in his latest Premier League match, Glasner’s side has made Arne Slot’s side better after winning 97 minutes against the Premier League Champions.

Tactically, Glasner is similar to Amorim in his preference for the back three system, but his version is said to be more difficult for the opposition.

His future could be a pressing issue, especially if United decides to act quickly, as the 51-year-old is in the final year of his palace contract.

Another incredible name linked to United’s work alongside Glasner is Kieran McKenna of Ipswichtown, former assistant coach at Old Trafford.
