Stephen Curry and Jonathan Cuminga shared the court against the Los Angeles Lakers.
The Golden State Warriors had no issues dealing with the Los Angeles Lakers in the preseason opening game.
Moses Moody drove the Warriors with a 111-103 win over the Lakers, but most fans were still focused on Jonathan Cuminga’s performance.
Warriors captain Stephen Curry finished the night with 14 points with the Lakers and Lakers, behind Moody, who scored 19 points.
However, Kuminga struggled to score when he finished the game with just five points to his name. Cuminga recorded six rebounds and four assists in an eight-point victory.
After the match, Curry was asked about his honest thoughts on Kuminga’s performance. The answer to the baby’s face-to-face assassin will make the reporter think twice before asking the same question in the future.
“It was business as usual. You just want to come and try and keep getting better. I’m not going to overanalyse him every time he’s there. That’s not good for anyone,” Curry told the media.
He added: “It’s just that we can win? Can he be a part of it? No matter how it looks, I’m so excited that he keeps his feet under him and building.”
The team leader, Curry, was in contact with Kuminga during the contract drama with the organization.
Now that’s over, it’s only natural that Steph praises his performance, especially during the preseason game.
After trying Kuminga, Curry was also asked about his honest take on the Warriors’ 1-0 start to preseason.
“We don’t take it from preseason games much, we didn’t do HR scouts or anything.
“Again to the sights and sounds of the perfect arena again,” Curry said.
It’s a great approach to preparing players for the regular season. Taking that seriously can have a negative impact on the roster morale.
