Oliveira vs. Gamlot took place on October 11th at the Farmasi Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Charles Oliveira (36-11, 1 no contest) and Mateusz Gamlot (25-4, 1 no contest) clashed in the main event. The game was broadcast live on ESPN+.

Goddard moves them to the center of the octagon. Oliveira with a nasty three-punch combination. Gamlot shoots right away and gets an easy takedown. Oliveira may have tried to use the guillotine, but Gamlot quickly removed the head. Oliveira has his arm trapped, but the situation gets worse as the seconds pass. Gamlot is calm and out of harm’s way…for now.
Oliveira attacks the arm again and tries another omaplata, but this time he sweeps and takes the back. Oliveira, a former champion trying to move up in position, probably complained to Goddard about grabbing his glove. Oliveira slyly rotated back again this time, hooked both of them, and attempted a rear naked choke. When Gamrot stands up, Oliveira drags Gamrot down with a body triangle. In the final 45 seconds, it was all Oliveira. The crowd cheered and sang for Oliveira as he was happy to be able to survive the rest of the round in a dominant position.

Gamlot may be in a pinch after being dragged through the mud by Oliveira on the first takedown. Oliveira again tells Goddard about the glove grab and the second round ends. Gamrot lands a right hand that is partially blocked, but Gamrot loops a right hand that Oliveira sees coming. Gamlot’s jab, jab, and Oliveira’s big counter attract attention. A great counter combo from Oliveira sends Gamrot back, but Gamrot lands a right hand.
Oliveira defeated Gamrot again, but the former champion shows no respect for Gamrot. Disgusting rib roaster from Oliveira who doesn’t even try to block Gamlot’s punches, and Oliveira scores a takedown. Things get tight as Oliveira takes the back and puts in both hooks and applies a rear naked choke. Gamlot is going to tap soon, and he does! Charles Oliveira makes it look easy, then jumps into the crowd to celebrate. An incredible moment, an incredible performance.
