Leeds have made an encouraging start to their return to the Premier League, although they have shown signs of stagnation in recent weeks. Daniel Farke’s side are without a win in their last three games, suffering a disappointing 2-0 loss to fellow promoted Burnley on Saturday.
If Leeds fail to turn around their form in the coming weeks, it will become more likely that a deal will be made in January, but as things stand, there are already plans to add one or two players.
January deal opens door for Jack Harrison to leave Leeds
As reported by Pete O’Rourke (via Football Insider), Leeds manager Farke is hoping to add a new attacker to his squad when the transfer window reopens in January. If his wish comes true, it would increase the chances of Jack Harrison being sent off.
“Look, Leeds will now be looking to strengthen the team rather than weaken it, especially in attack, which is where Farke plans to strengthen in January.”
“A lot will depend on what Leeds themselves can do in the transfer market. If they can bring in attacking reinforcements, perhaps that could open the door for a move for Jack Harrison. But I don’t think anything that could move away from Harrison is set up at the moment.”
Harrison has appeared in eight games so far this season, seven of which have come in the Premier League. Although he started in the defeat against Burnley, it was Leeds’ first league start since returning from a loan spell at Everton in the 2024-25 season, confirming that he is not particularly relied upon by manager Farke.
For this reason, manager Falke is said to be open to the 28-year-old leaving the club, and it would not be surprising if he leaves in January.
