Tottenham Hotspur want to sign Porto striker Sam Agehowa.
He is on the list alongside Fabio Paratici, who recently returned to Tottenham. The Italian is already working to strengthen Tottenham’s squad and has identified the 21-year-old as a target.
According to TBR, they will consider signing him over the next few months.
Spurs could use Sam Agehowa
Tottenham need another reliable striker and the Spanish youth international would be a great addition for them. He has proven his quality for club and country and has been outstanding since joining the club.
Agehowa has scored 35 goals in 54 games since moving to Portugal. It will be interesting to see if Tottenham are able to sign him. He will be a long-term investment for them. Even if you are likely to pay a premium, you may be able to justify the investment in the long run.
Could Tottenham agree to sign Agehowa?
Agehowa’s contract termination fee is £87 million. Tottenham will try to negotiate a reasonable contract for him and it will be interesting to see how Porto react. They try to recover as much of their assets as possible. They are well aware that he is one of the most attacking young players in European football at the moment and want to make the most of their interest in him.
It will not be easy for Tottenham to secure his signature. He is likely to attract attention from other clubs as well.
The player came very close to joining Chelsea in 2024, but ended up moving to Porto. He wants to test himself in the Premier League and the opportunity to join will be exciting for him. It remains to be seen how the situation will develop.
