PARIS — Novak Djokovic will miss next week’s Paris Masters, he announced on social media on Tuesday, days after canceling play in the exhibition event due to a foot injury.
The 24-time Grand Slam champion has played sparsely this season, playing in just eight ATP Tour tournaments outside of the four majors.
Djokovic, 38, reached the semi-finals of the Australian Open, French Open, Wimbledon and US Open this season. From late May to late September, the only tournaments he participated in were the last three.
At his most recent official tournament, the Shanghai Masters, Djokovic stalled due to lower back pain during his semi-final exit.
He was one of six players invited to the Six Kings Slam in Saudi Arabia last week. After his first bye, Djokovic lost to Jannik Sinner, then faced Taylor Fritz in the third-place match, but stopped play after one set.
The ATP Finals, which Djokovic qualified for but will miss in 2024, will be held in Turin, Italy, from November 9 to 16.
