Liverpool manager Arne Slott has moved to quell mounting speculation over Mohamed Salah’s recent poor form, insisting the Egyptian star’s track record speaks for itself.
The Dutch manager is confident that his talismanic forward will quickly regain his scoring potential and stressed there is little cause for concern with Salah’s consistency and professionalism.
Ahead of the match between Liverpool and Brentford, Slott reaffirmed his faith in the club’s all-time Premier League goalscorer and reminded supporters that a temporary lack of goals is just part of a long season.
Mo Salah is struggling with his scoring form
Salah’s recent goalless games have sparked debate among experts and fans, especially considering his typically high standards and reputation as one of the most clinical forwards in the league.
Despite the intense scrutiny, Slott has remained calm and cooperative, underscoring that the 33-year-old’s career has been built on a relentless ability to execute when it matters most.
“I’m not worried. The important thing is that Mo has always scored goals for the club.” As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Slott said:
“My biggest worry is that Mo starts scoring again, because that’s what he’s been doing his whole life and I expect him to start scoring again.”
Arne Slott supports Liverpool star
The Liverpool attacker has only scored three goals in 12 appearances in all competitions this season.
This is a major concern for the club, considering these are pretty poor numbers for a player of Salah’s caliber.
The Egyptian attacker’s poor form is causing further problems for Slott and the Reds. That’s because he, as well as new signings like Alexander Isak and Florian Wirths, have failed to impress so far, and fans are starting to worry about their chances of winning this season’s top honor.
Salah’s form has raised some eyebrows after leading the Merseyside club to the league title last season, but with the support of Slott and his team-mates he can turn things around, as he has regularly done in the past.
