The Dallas Mavericks didn’t have an answer for Kyshawn George of the Washington Wizards.

Heading into the game, it looked like the Dallas Mavericks could easily defeat the Washington Wizards.

But Ki’Sean George, who led the Wizards to a memorable 117-107 victory over the Mavericks, had other ideas as the Western Conference side fell to 0-2 in the season opener.

George had 34 points, 11 rebounds, four assists, two steals, and three blocks in the 10-point win over the Mavericks.

This is a rare accomplishment for a 21-year-old, making the Wizards star the second-youngest player to accomplish this feat. The youngest? LA Lakers legend Shaquille O’Neal.

O’Neal was unstoppable at the peak of his career. Obviously, Shaq filled in the stat sheet for fun, and matching his record would be a huge accomplishment.

The season has only just begun, but it will be interesting to see if George can further break O’Neal’s record, as the Wizards star appears to have made a big jump this offseason.

He entered the league with the 24th overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft as a shooting guard and played the majority of his rookie year at that position.

However, in his second season, Wizards head coach Brian Keefe moved George to the power forward position.

The results are all positive, as George is averaging 27.5 points, 10.0 rebounds, and 4.0 assists per game.

He also shot an impressive 60.0% from the field and 66.7% from the three-point line. The only question is whether George can maintain those numbers for the rest of the season.
